About Mrs. Davis
My name is Amelia Davis! I am excited to be starting a new school year with your children. I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia State University in 2005. I majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. After my BS degree in 2005, I obtained my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. My passion has always been to teach children in one way or another. Before I decided to be a classroom teacher, I was a dance teacher for 7 years. I have been teaching 3rd grade for 4 years. I have been an employee of Gwinnett County Schools for all 5 years. I started my teaching at Britt Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher from 2008-2010. I continued teaching 3rd grade at Anderson-Livsey Elementary School from 2010 to 2012. I believe that ALL children are unique and learn in many different ways! It is important to fulfill the needs of all students. I believe in communication with students, parents, and the community. In order for students to learn best, it is vital to have open communication between teacher, student, and parents. I am here to help you and your child in any way possible! This will be the best year ever, and I am looking forward to working with each and every student and parent!
